2027 PRESENTING COMMUNITY IMPACT PARTNER

Supporting the people who answer the call.

UnitedHealthcare Community Plan

UnitedHealthcare Community Plan has supported most of our North Carolina events in 2026, helping the Foundation bring first responders and families together for mental wellness education, connection and support.

As our 2027 Presenting Community Impact Partner, UnitedHealthcare Community Plan supports the Foundation’s program-wide work to connect first responders and families with mental wellness education, resources and support. We are grateful for their continued commitment to the people who serve our communities.

Investing in healthier North Carolina communities

UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of North Carolina provides Medicaid coverage for eligible residents and works with local organizations to address barriers to health beyond the exam room.

  • Care closer to home: In November 2025, the plan announced a $750,000 investment to expand Appalachian Mountain Health’s mobile medical program in western North Carolina. • Healthy food within reach: In January 2026, the plan announced a $100,000 investment in Ripe for Revival’s mobile food markets in eastern and central North Carolina. The initiative serves community members beyond the plan’s own membership. Read about mobile food markets ↗
  • Growing the health workforce: An April 2026 UnitedHealth Group report describes the plan’s Future Leaders in Health Scholarship Program: $500,000 in grants to benefit 400 students pursuing health care credentials and degrees across 35 North Carolina community colleges.
