Terms of use

Purpose and boundaries

PIERCE Connect helps people locate human support and information. It does not provide diagnosis, treatment, clinical triage, emergency dispatch or continuous monitoring. Browsing, using guides or submitting directory information does not establish a therapist–patient relationship with the Foundation or a listed provider.

Choosing and contacting services

You choose whether to contact a service. Providers decide eligibility, availability, fees and treatment. Verify current contact details, licensure, costs, coverage and privacy policies before relying on a listing. A directory inclusion, source check, preferred label or paid placement is not a guarantee of care, quality, safety, outcomes or suitability.

Emergency and review channels

Do not use suggestion, correction, partnership or privacy forms for urgent help. They are not monitored continuously. Use the app’s immediate-help options or local emergency services when immediate assistance is needed. Sending a form does not guarantee a response within a particular time.

Submissions and corrections

Submit accurate organizational information you are permitted to share. Do not provide patient records, confidential stories, passwords, impersonations, malicious content or deceptive claims. The Foundation may edit, withhold, suspend or remove a listing while reviewing accuracy, safety or policy concerns. Submission does not guarantee publication, partnership or payment.

External content and intellectual property

Outside sites and providers control their own content and terms. Links are supplied for navigation. Foundation branding and original app content may not be used to imply affiliation or endorsement without permission. Third-party names and marks remain their owners’ property. Contact the Foundation about a content or rights concern.

Paid placements

An inquiry creates no advertising contract or payment obligation. Paid arrangements require separate written terms and Foundation approval. Public placement labels must identify advertising clearly. Payment cannot purchase clinical endorsement, change resource review standards or guarantee referrals.

Rights and limitations

Information and availability can change. The Foundation does not promise that the directory is complete or error-free. These statements explain the service’s limits; they do not waive rights that cannot lawfully be waived or excuse obligations imposed by law. Contractual limitations, governing-law and dispute provisions have not been presented as attorney-approved protections.
