Resource and sponsorship standards

What a source check means

A source check records a review of published information on the shown date. It is not independent verification of clinical quality, a license-board investigation, a promise of openings, or an endorsement. Reviewers check the official contact, service area, intended audience, cost description, hours and published privacy limits, then document source evidence and unresolved questions.

Clinical credentials or outcomes are not considered verified unless the specific verification is documented and explicitly described. We do not use payment to determine clinical trustworthiness. Outside directories make their own listing decisions.

Review and complaints

The operating procedure requires monthly checks of crisis contacts and the preferred contact, quarterly checks of other listings, and review when a complaint or correction arrives. Listings show check dates and unresolved recheck notes. These are maintenance requirements, not a promise that all listings are freshly verified at every moment.

Use Report outdated information inside a listing or email admin@piercefoundation.org. A suspected inaccurate or unsafe contact may be suspended during investigation, including a preferred listing. Reports are not monitored continuously; do not use them to request urgent care.

The preferred peer support designation

The Foundation selected First Response Peer Support Network as its preferred peer support contact. That reflects a Foundation navigation preference, not an independent clinical rating or a finding that other services are inferior. You can choose another service.

A complete written description of the partnership basis and any financial or in-kind relationship is awaiting Foundation confirmation. No statement of “no financial relationship” is implied. Contact the Foundation with partnership-disclosure questions. Any applicable material relationship must be disclosed alongside the relevant placement when confirmed.

Paid listings and sponsor recognition

Paid featured listings are advertising and must be clearly labeled at the placement. Sponsor recognition identifies support for the Foundation. Neither establishes clinical superiority, guaranteed results or suitability. Ordinary directory results are not ranked by advertiser payment.

Advertising and sponsor acknowledgments require separate written terms, approval of claims and logo use, removal rights, and appropriate accounting. The inquiry form does not accept payment or activate an arrangement. Legal and tax reviews of the commercial program remain pending. No tax deduction is promised.

No sale of patient referrals

The Foundation’s app policy does not permit commissions based on treatment admissions, patient spending or patient referrals. Any healthcare marketing agreement must receive qualified legal review; a flat advertising fee is not automatically a legal safe harbor. No patient information is supplied to sponsors through this app.

Human support and personal choice

No AI peer support, simulated therapist or counseling bot is offered. Listed information and support should be described accurately. Educational, peer, retreat, admissions and clinical services are different. Avoid guaranteed recovery claims and unsupported PTSD-prevention claims. A person can ask how a service works before sharing a difficult experience.

Review status

The Foundation has prepared administrative procedures for this app. Independent legal review, advertising tax classification, HIPAA-role assessment and insurance confirmation are still pending. This page is not a certification of legal or clinical compliance.
